(via imgTumble)I’ve come out of a really rough patch over the past couple of weeks; everything was very overwhelming and scary and I dealt with it by subconsciously ruining relationships and refusing to deal with my problems - but throughout it all, and throughout the whole of my life, I have maintained this attitude, and I feel the need to state how much it genuinely helps.
I have quite a serious problem with anxiety, and I find that the best way of combatting it is to paint on a smile, get dolled up, go out and just smile. Whether it be just out for coffee with friends or putting the effort into a serious night out, it always makes me feel a million times better than sulking around at home ever could. I understand the need to withdraw from people for a while, but don’t become invisible for too long.
A huge part of why I feel back to myself right now is because I forced myself to look amazing, surround myself with amazing people, and do, if not amazing then at least fun, distracting, memory making things. I genuinely do think it makes all the difference.
